One of the services that we can provide for you at this time is a snapshot or an audit of your soft Facilities Management services and requirements to give you a professional report on the present running of the support staff (caretaking, cleaning & grounds). This will ensure that you are providing your duty of care under the welfare regulations to staff and students and therefore being compliant with the Health & Safety at Work Act by showing due diligence.

Think of this as insurance against potential unforeseen problems that you may experience during the year, without the burden of additional fees for advice and providing support for HR with disciplinary cases. Ensuring that training to a set standard has happened (including additional support if required) as required under the H&S at Work Act and should there be any tribunals making sure that the area is the correct size for the time allowed for cleaning. Professional advice should a medical outbreak occur.

We have found that in all the years we have been providing this type of service, it is generally that the person is either unaware as to what is expected of them or they have not been trained to the correct standard, this can be easily resolved over time with training to the county standard in the first instance followed by refresher training if and when required. We would start off by performing an inspection of the area, then, if a problem is found, diplomatically suggest ways of correcting any defaults found as part of the service we provide, without the need for confrontation between the senior staff and non-teaching support staff. A full report will be provided with an action plan that will be put in place in order to correct any problems found.
